MrSportsBlog is produced by Mike “Mr. Sports” Sullivan, a talented sportswriter with 27 years of professional experience. Sullivan earned 16 professional writing awards, including three national awards, as the most decorated sportswriter in the history of a Northern San Diego newspaper. He’s one of the few sportswriters to pen a story that became a part of the Congressional record — a 2007 story on NFL concussions that led to former Minnesota Vikings lineman Brent Boyd being invited to testify before Congress. Sullivan has won national awards for breaking news, project reporting and feature writing. A successful transition to the online sportswriting world led to Sullivan performing writing, editing and administrative duties for one of North America’s most prolific sports-only content providers before he was ahead of the curve and made the move to FLM at the start of 2018. The San Diego State product happily lives in a three-story mansion in Boise, Idaho.
